On Saturday, while at the US v. England soccer viewing/hangaround, I met a nice lady named Liz who thought I looked familiar. While it's likely just a coincidence, in the course of trying to figure out how we might have met, I learned that she's in the Chicago band Town & Country. When I explained that I am interning at Thrill Jockey Records, and that I get paid in one (1) cd per day of work, I asked her which of her band's albums I should pick. She said this one, so I did:
I learned yesterday that one of my fellow interns is in the band Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, whom I already think are the shiz. He joined the band after they played Conan's old show, but it's still pretty cool.
