I'm not sure why it took me so long to see this documentary about K Records. Maybe it's hard to find? I think I just didn't try hard enough. Anyway, it is literally 11 years old, but if you haven't seen it and profess to be a fan of independent music like I do, watch the thing here. Pitchfork has it posted for one week only, so take a long lunch (it's 85 mins) and enjoy the novelty of Calvin Johnson being edited to the point where he doesn't seem awkward*.
*no really - it's informative and entertaining.
UPDATE: Well, it's gone from the Pitchfork site now, so go rent it!
