is it just me?

There's a brand new blog of cool album covers featuring dots and shapes that's been launched by the folks at Jive Time Records in Seattle called Project Thirty-Three. It's only been up for a few days. One of the first covers they've chosen is a 1960 release from Sauter Finegan:

I've never seen it before, but I was immediately struck by how it reminds me, ever so vaguely, of Death Cab's 2000 album We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes:

Beyond the dots and shapes, the lines on the Finegan album sort of resemble the position of the runners on the DCFC album. Is it just me? Is this a coincidence or intentional? I'm asking.
