Beck's Record Club has finally tackled an album I've known intimately since middle school: INXS' Kick. I'm stoked. Not to mention the fact that he's got Angus from Liars, Annie from St. Vincent, Sergio from Os Mutantes, and more. I know I should have been excited about The Velvet Underground & Nico, bus alas.

This is way old news, but I just (re)discovered that Barsuk has every one of their albums available for on-demand streaming right here, and a pile of free mp3s to download right here. It's sort of incredible. Tucked into all that media is a little gem entitled the Barsuk Records Songwriters Show April 2005, featuring John Vanderslice, John Roderick, Ben Gibbard, Matthew Caws, and Jesse Sykes. It's pretty farking great, and I feel compelled to share this 5-year-old awesomeness with you.
