This song '4 Marzo 1943' was originally called "Jesus' Child" but the title was censored. I think its about a single mother and a soldier. And something about "even whores and thieves are children of god." Even roommates that drink your wine. Maybe there's a lesson here.
Fabrizio de Andre also wrote about thieves and prostitutes. And communists. And such. And he was also from the North...
