The Lonely Forest are a band from Anacortes, Washington. They are, admittedly, friends. But they are also excessively gifted musicians and songwriters who have made their best album to date, Adding Up the Wasted Hours. My favorites, at the moment, are "Pull the Pin and Forget," "Lovric's," and "Left Hand Man." Musically it is undeniably catchy, crunchy, and carefully arranged. The lyrics are personal and insightful. I couldn't be more proud.
