Pope Ratzinger is retiring, something which hasn't happened since the 1400's. Now, he did say more than once that Popes should retire when they get old, but I can't help but feel like he's leaving because of political pressure, not health. The fact that he doesn't die for a decade should bear this out.
He protected child molesters. He denounced condom use when it would save lives and livelihood. He will not be missed by me, and I'm not even Catholic.
