The CHIRP Blog posted my list of top albums, etc. It's a little shorter than the version I posted to my blog, but it includes short descriptions I wrote for each release that aren't in the original version of the list. Speaking of those short descriptions, I feel a little silly that 11 of 14 entries mention the word "pop". Good to be consistent, but yeesh.
I'm not sure if this is terribly interesting, but there you go.

11. Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Def Jam)
Honestly, I've never been able to get into an entire Kanye album, and his public persona sucks, but a few individual tracks pointed to his potential. Meanwhile, the hype surrounding his latest offering turned me off. BUT then I listened, and it's really, really good. Universally appealing, artistically bold, Kanye somehow made me empathize with douchebags.
