observations

If I have something I really need to get off my chest, because someone does something shitty and I feel compelled to call them on it, but don't want to confront them directly, I shouldn't post about it on Facebook. No exceptions. They will find out. Dammit I thought I'd learnt this.

Not watching tv on tv means I haven't seen almost any campaign commercials this year. I watch tv on the internet and it's been pretty awesome in terms of not seeing stupid lying incendiary campaign commercials. In terms of not seeing stupid shitty political news about crazy regressive cavemannish conservatives assuredly getting elected, I've been less fortunate.

I really love Louis C.K. His tv show is available for instawatch on Netflix; I watched the entire first season over 2 days. I am now watching a live comedy thing from 2008. He is honest and smart and he makes his filth work in a way that I don't feel wrong being amused by it. That being said, his cynicism is so spot-on I sometimes feel more sad about life afterward. Also, a part of me thinks he should fuck off being so unhappy about his life. Here is Louis C.K.'s life: he is a successful standup comedian who gets to make a tv show, tell jokes on stage, be in movies in small parts, guest star on tv shows like Parks and Recreation. He makes a living this way. I don't have a job. If Louis C.K. is unhappy doing what he loves, I am fucked. Still, I really enjoy his work, the dick.
