We moved some detritus out of basement storage, but the bulk of the day was spent placing raw CD copies of Sam Prekop's forthcoming release into plastic sleeves, and storing them neatly in boxes. The artist himself will be hand-painting (or screening) the cd paks, so hence the sleeves. As Mike and me progressed, we talked about veggie bingo, dating stories, and life plans. He's a young + restless Chicago native with a newly-minted degree in percussion, and wants to play drums and meet girls, although not necessarily in the order. Also, not necessarily not in that order.
After being drawn to the band's name since I started interning, as well as the die-cut, 3-different-versions album art, I took the newish Double Dagger EP home at the end of my day:
