the ruby doe - papermate

I miss The Ruby Doe. Even if I were still in Seattle, I would miss them, because they have been working on their 4th album for quite a while and I want it yesterday. The above track, with its ascending riff, makes me want to walk around looking tough, as most of their songs do.

UPDATE:

I contacted Aaron Lundborg from The Ruby Doe to ask him what the status of the newest album is. They've been recording at MRX Studios with Dan Mohr of The Bismarck. Aaron says:

"New record is nearly done. Well, technically it's done but I wanna remix one song. Sounds like us.......in a room. Heavy too! I totally dig it. I think you will too.

[Our label] Hometown Tragedy releases it.

By the way, the 'new' website will be launching soon where the plans are to completely give away (download-style) all [the] old records. This includes Always With Wings (since Loveless folded, all's fair). To be perfectly honest though..........I'd really like to remix AWW.

We actually have been working with Josh Englehardt (friend of Dan's.....played in [the] band Lake of Falcons) and he's proven to be a great dude with a great ear. (Dan recorded the record, however. He had to bow out of the mixing since his baby was born on the day we started to mix).

I've thought of running the [AWW remix] idea by Josh since I now trust his opinion and ears. It would need a "new and improved" name, however.........something akin to the whole Let it Be...Naked album title.
