So I spent the past half hour or so "unfollowing" people and blocking people, all trying to get it so I'm not present on Google Buzz. Except, I was still present on it, because it was still there, looking at me.
Well, scroll down to the bottom of yr Inbox. Down, down, down, alllllll the way down to the bottom of the screen. Look for it. It's in tiny type. See it?

This article has lots more information that you'll be needing. Okay, turns out "turn off buzz" is the LAST step. The first step is to "unfollow" people, "block" people, remove all statusy buzzes you posted when you were trying it out, remove details about you from your profile, and THEN "turn off buzz". This is because even if you "turn off buzz" it's just sleeping, and your profile is still visible to other people you have emailed in the past. So to make sure there's nothing to see there, remove everything first.
