nostalgia trip continues

I was on the phone last night with the American Music Awards on, and the sound off. I saw Justin Timberlake present Annie Lennox with some kind of award for achievement. They showed a montage of her most well-known stuff, and I was reminded of how much I love this song.

This isn't the original video, because Sony has disabled embedding for that one. I gotta say I kinda sorta maybe like this one better...except not really. The original is too terrific to beat. This will suffice.

I also may as well give props to Why?, I Need A Man, and of course Sweet Dreams.

Fun Fact: as a kid I was dismayed by Lennox lipsyching the gospelly backing vocals in the Sweet Dreams video, because it was obviously sung by a black lady on the recording. (Oops!) For some reason, the string-synching to a synthesizer solo didn't bother me. Double oops.
