Then I tried to send it to some friends, but it wasn't working, and as I stood on the corner of 85th and 14th fiddling with the phone I heard a loud CRACK. A car horn started blaring and didn't stop. A block away I saw smoke. Anxious, I began walking quickly toward the scene, and saw the first car, whose driver was apparently uninjured, out of his vehicle and checking on the driver of the second car.
(the car was full of smoke)Suddenly there was a girl walking beside me, and people gathering around the second car. I couldn't see the driver, but they also appeared to be unharmed, and out of their vehicle. The driver of the first car asked if someone could call 911, handing his cell phone to the girl next to me. Feeling that the situation was under control, and lots of people attending to matters, I took the pics above. I felt a little ghoulish (heh), but I went for it anyway.
I got the coffee, heard the sirens, and on my way back grabbed a shot of the second car. Those people on the sidewalk looked at me a little funny. Am I a jerk? Hm. Everyone is okay, and the coffee was satisfying.
